{"id":912,"date":"2026-01-15T18:02:00","date_gmt":"2026-01-15T23:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.infirmary-integrated.com\/?p=912"},"modified":"2026-01-15T18:02:00","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T23:02:00","slug":"v-2-8-0-clinical-realism-scenario-enhancements-bugfixes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.infirmary-integrated.com\/?p=912","title":{"rendered":"V 2.8.0 Clinical Realism, Scenario Enhancements, Bugfixes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.infirmary-integrated.com\/?page_id=15\">Available for download on the Downloads page.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Major improvements rolled out in 2.8 since previous versions, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Improvements to the Simulator:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mirroring functionality improved and more verbose, including:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to specify your own mirror server, or use the infirmary-integrated.com mirror as a default<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invalid input regarding the mirror server (e.g. bad server address, wrong scenario password) triggers a pop-up warning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved responsiveness of tracing drawing on device initialization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved responsiveness of numeric (e.g. heart rate) calculation on device initialization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Window sizes and positions are saved on exit and persist\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Size and position are saved for the control window and each device, and supports multi-monitor setups\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Changes to the monitor setup (e.g. unplugging a monitor) cause the windows to revert to a valid desktop area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Position and size persistence includes maximized windows: they will return to being maximized<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saving a &#8220;scenario&#8221; from the simulator also saves the Numerics &amp; Tracings that are loaded\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Saving a file from the simulator does not create a full-fledged &#8220;Scenario&#8221; file, but has better functionality now<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Improvements to the Scenario Editor:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Can now preset which Numerics &amp; Tracings show up on the cardiac monitor and defibrillator\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Allows you to set the amount, source, and order for the Numerics &amp; Tracings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Numerics representing pressure transduced sources allow you to preset if they are zero&#8217;ed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loading a Scenario that has no steps triggers a pop-up warning that it will cause unwanted functionality\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attempting to save a Scenario with no steps fails and produces a similar pop-up warning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Step editor does not allow you to remove all Steps\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the last Step is deleted, it automatically populates a new &#8220;Initial Step&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bugfixes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Default temperature was febrile (38.0 C)- set to 37.0 C now<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loading Scenario files then selecting &#8220;New Scenario&#8221; caused an inconsistent resetting of settings- fixed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Closing and re-opening a device would cause the device to fail to re-open- fixed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improperly drawn rhythm tracings no longer cause the entire tracing to go blank\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tracings can still have invalid or unrealistic input (e.g. hyper-extreme cardiac profile settings), but will not crash the tracing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pausing the simulation or tracings causes significantly less artifact\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Artifact is limited to a single heartbeat possibly coming early instead of the previous &#8220;flat-line effect&#8221; for several seconds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No longer able to overwrite a mirror with an administrator password\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A bug existed where a user could overwrite a mirrored scenario with a new administrator password<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Available for download on the Downloads page.
